The film
For over 40 years, Ümit, a playful and eccentric 65-year-old Cypriot Cockney projectionist, has kept his love of cinema alive by running the last cine film shop in the UK.
As gentrification and the cost of living crisis push the shop towards closure, his close filmmaker friend Liam begins making a film in the hope of saving it.

Director
Liam’s film The Last Storm was long-listed for the Oscars in 2020 and had its world premiere at Tribeca Film Festival. The Last Picture Shop is his debut feature.

Nan Davies is a Welsh film producer whose award-winning short films have screened internationally at BAFTA and Academy Award-qualifying festivals. She is developing scripted and documentary features through One Wave Films.

Adam is a London-based film editor. His award-winning work has screened at Tribeca, Sheffield DocFest and Hot Docs, and received an International Emmy nomination.
